It’s another lovely spring morning and we are heading into the Easter weekend. Here’s hoping the weather keeps up for the long weekend.
Today’s blog update will be relatively short and sweet, just a couple of wee things to tell you about.
Firstly, a great health initiative. The college will be working with the Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS to help you stop smoking. If you feel the time is now right for you to give up the cigarettes then you can join the Stop Smoking Group, it’s free and the group will meet for an hour, once a week for seven weeks. If you think you would be interested in this, then pop along to the Hub, Room 3/15 and fill in a referral form to book a place.
Next up is the news that Pete Mullen and associates will be presenting ‘Cruise Live’. This will include a 1 day showcase on Easter Sunday April 24th of a combination of live bands, digital production artists and DJ’s, live in-store at Cruise Jeans, followed later at Bar Pivo Pivo. Bands involved will include; The Imagineers, The Soviets, Sun Dogs and Matt Fotheringham. Stow College will be providing support from their media students in the live engineering, media recording and promotion of the event. A perfect chance for the students to spread their wings in a live environment.
Enjoy your break and go easy on the chocolate.
